  2. Actually, you have no idea how dirty restaurants really are... I do, because I'm an auctioneer and have liquidated them when they go out of business. But I won't upset you with tales of dead rats stuck in inch thick grease, of refrigerators that hadn't been cleaned out since Teddy Roosevelt was president, of filth so bad it makes the infamous Andersonville look like a vacation spot...

    Thumbs up.

  3. And how clean are the dishes in people's homes? If Andy's really concerned then he should only eat from dishes and cutlery he cleans himself...

We should take our own forks to restaurants.

  7. No, we really don't want to know the details of what goes on in the kitchens. I used to have a rock solid stomach and nothing really bothered me. Then, the inevitable happened......I got old.

Cute cartoon. I hope he didn't gain too much weight eating YOUR meal!

  9. Thinking just gets people in trouble. We booted an annoying co-worker from having lunch woth us because of conversations like this.

  10. After watching Kitchen Nightmares, I'm quite turned off by restaurants, but I won't turn down a meal at one. :o)

  12. Um, yeah. Thanks Andy! Now I can't stop thinking about restaurants and their crusty forks.

Nah, I'm all about the "what you don't know can't hurt you" camp! :)

  13. Eat a pund of dirt before you die, that;s what I'm saying. That can be dirt from the ground or crusty forks at Denny's...If it hasn't killed us yet, it probably won't.

Besides, it is good to help keep your immune system strong, yeah, that't it, it is actually good for you!

  17. You know... I live by the words "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger" and I believe that pertains largely to restaurants

  20. That Andy, he's a keeper, he sure is. :) Actually, I obsess about unclean silverware at restaurants all the time and will tell the waitress to bring me a new fork or spoon or knife if there's so much as a spot on it.

  21. Bee, why do you even keep him around? Did he at least get you something good for Valentine's Day? Like a travel fork.

  22. Based on the huge hair I yanked out of a McDonald's hamburger, I'm so off eating out. For now, anyway. Sometimes I just try to pretend the bad things didn't happen!

  23. These are the times when we stop and just stare at our husbands and wonder...WTF is wrong with this man???
For instance, one time we were eating this awesome dish that has Italian Sausages in it. The Hubs decides to tell us that these sausages remind him of the surgery he had done that day on some guy's intestines!
    Thanks Dr. Hubs!!!

  24. And I hadn't really thought of all of those things he brought up. What if someone really did flick the dried, crusty food off of my fork before giving it to me?
    THANKS ALOT ANDY!!!!
