We are at this moment driving to Starved Rock state park. I enjoyed the ride and have only had to pee for the past 45 minutes which isn't that big of an issue... the only drawback? Nothing but country music stations!
I'll be back with updates like "Andy fell into the water!" okay maybe pushed.
FIRST!!!!
ReplyDeletehow does a rock starve? i never feed mine
I hope the park is more enjoyable than the Country music...
ReplyDeleteCountry music gives me what I like to call a "hillbilly headache".
ReplyDeleteI feel for ya!
I love Starved Rock. I threw up there on a class trip senior year of high school.
ReplyDeleteBut Bee, come on. Don't you know you are going there at the wrong time of the year? The Vintage Illinois Wine Festival isn't until September...
Seriously, if you like wine at all and the state of Illinois, you should check it out.
Fun!... Road trip!
ReplyDeleteDon't bring home any rocks from the park. The rock spirits will haunt you.
ReplyDeleteGot engaged there, actually. At sunrise, in sweatpants. Not what I was picturing, but if you block the dam from your vision, the view is right nice.
ReplyDelete.....Starved Rock...it brings back sooo many memories!!!! We used to go all the time.
ReplyDeleteI live 45 minutes from Starved Rock and still have never been.
